With Thanos snapping at the end of the film Avengers: Infinity War, every Marvel fan became amused by his powers with Thanos punching Hulk straight in his face and killing Thor's beloved brother Loki.
So Thanos with his Infinity Gauntlet seems impossible to defeat. And just like Thanos's IG, Thor also happen to his own toy Mjolnir which his sister Hela breaks it in the movie Thor: Ragnarok.
These two character's powers are amplified by their respective weapons. And, you fans have no idea who else have used their weapons. There are numerous others who has picked up IG and Mjolnir respectively several times from both DC and the Marvel Universe.
Here is the list of 5 interesting characters who wielded the IG and below is the list of 5 characters who picked up the Mjolnir.
5) Captain America
In the events of Secret Wars, the Illuminati was faced with a problem. Earth-616 and Earth was about to collide and become destroyed. So the Illuminati was forced to the idea of wielding the IG by one of their member. Obviously the most rightful person for wielding would be the Captain of all, The Captain America.
But with the vast power of IG, it exploded to dusts. With no other solution left, the Illuminati decided to destroy the Earth-616. But Steve opposed the idea and Steve was wiped of his memories. And this led to the events of Secret Wars.
4) Spider-Man
In the comic series, "Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet", Thanos snapped his fingers which only made half of the universe to disappear rather than killing them all. Only a handful of heroes were left on earth comprising of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel and our superpower Hulk.
Dr. Doom had sent a Doom-Bot to fight Thanos. This Doom-Bot had accidentally removed the IG from the hands of the mighty Mad-Titan. Spider-Man took advantage of this situation and wore the IG himself.
He then commanded that Thanos would never get a chance to wield the IG. A flash occurred and Peter was back on Earth with all the Avengers beside him. A lucky day for HIM.
3) Darkseid
How come a character from DC wield IG? Yes, it had happened in 2003 when a comic crossover was introduced which was a "JLA/Avengers" series.
Written by Kurt Busiek and George Perez in the year 2003, the comic mainly concentrates on a challenge set by Grandmaster to Krona titled between the two universe on "WHO WOULD WIN IN A DUEL?".
A list of items would be hidden in the opposite universe and they have to find it out. In this scenario, the IG was hidden on Apokolips. The kingdom of Darkseid. As it is pretty clear that Darkseid has defeated Thanos, imagine what he could with the IG in his hands?
2) Reed Richards
Reed Richards is best known as Mr. Fantastic and is perhaps the most intelligent individual in the Marvel Universe. So it’s no surprise that he’s wielded the Infinity Gauntlet. Even more, there’s a whole multiversal Council of Reeds and each Reed has his own Infinity Gauntlet!
Richards was able to obtain the gauntlet and three of the gems himself, but needed the groups help for the final three. Using various methods, they open a tear in reality, confront the collective consciousness of reality, and create a time flux that granted them the final three gems. Richards dons the Infinity Gauntlet and tries to will the gems out of existence, but is unable to. He almost loses himself to the power, but is saved when the Watcher shows up. Each member of the Illuminati takes a gem for safe keeping, deciding that it's best to keep them separate.
1) Santa Claus
Yes, it's Saint Nicholas himself. If the God-Of-Thunder can exist, why not him? In 2009, in Marvel Holiday Spectacular, Santa Claus wielded the IG.
Santa Claus found out that his reindeer's were actually Skrulls (Go Watch Cap: Marvel :)). With all of his Christmas buddies out of town, he requested the help of the Illuminati to borrow the IG to deliver all the gifts to the kids around the globe.

5) Magneto
The Master of Magnetism was able to pick up the Mjolnir because of his mutated powers to control metals. He did this as a result of his son and his daughters' death.
4) Awesome Android
While many of the characters on the list got the hammer based on circumstance, Awesome Android got it by becoming Thor.
This flashback-heavy issue showed that Andy has the power to copy any personality trait. He used this to "copy Thor's nobility" and thus, gave him the ability to both use and wield Mjolnir.
3) Captain America 
Captain America went to pick up the hammer to give to Thor during an onslaught battle from Seth, the Egyptian God of Death. When things were looking most bleak for Captain (who renamed himself to The Captain at the time), he was able to pick it up to hand it off to Thor.
2) Wonder Woman
Sure, there might be a real-life rivalry between Marvel and DC, but the two universes have crossed over.
While Thor was busy fighting Captain Marvel, he lost his hammer and it ended up in the hands of Wonder Woman, who knew how to handle the power of a goddess.
1) Superman
When Thor falls to the forces of Krona, it is up to Superman to save the day. For this moment, Superman also got to use Captain America's shield as well. He is the only one (besides Captain America himself) to use both the hammer and the shield at the same time.
